We are into the second week of my childrens school holidays and all it has done is rain. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do that doesnt blow the budget. My children are 4 and 6. Movies are out. By the time you buy tickets and food you are looking at over $50. Thanks

  1. Don't go to the movies, bring the movies to you.  Rent movies, pop popcorn, have special candy, and maybe some of those mini pops.  Shut the lights out and curl up on the couch together!

Play games!  Kids love to play board games with parents.

When I was little we loved to color with our mom.

Make homemade play dough and bring out the cookie cutters!

  2. go ice skating, make a fort with pillows, play a board game, or read a book and bake cookies!!!

  3. I would say take them to a museum. Those are always fun. And most of them only take donations.

  4. Every night play a kids board game like monopoly junior and stuff like that.

  5. www.dltk-kids.com

    freekidscrafts.com

  6. going to a museum would probably be fun if there is one nearby... plus it is indoors so you don't have to worry about the weather.... also here we have some movie theaters that play movies that aren't "new", but aren't out on dvd yet either.. admission to them is only like $1.50 each

  7. make a play
