  1. This is not about education, but more about controlling the movements of our youths. The govt knows that quantity does not produce better education. It is the quality of the time spent, and that has been falling abysmally due to lowered standards.

  2. they will take the teachers who are teaching the 16 yr olds now who are in further education, it`s only the same but a different building

  3. You trying to tell me teachers work hard and get paid a pitance you must be taking the p*ss.The idea behind this c**p is to massage the unemployment figures.Love to see a bloody school teacher demonstrate anything about construction, engineering or anything thats relevant to the work place(I mean real work not a bloody office job)

  4. If parents stopped blaming teachers and the government about today's youth, and actually took some responsibility for the moral compass of their offspring then today's youth would be something to be proud of.

Giving children what they want when they want it and keeping them quiet/occupied with TV, fast food and video games does none of us any favours.

Obviously this is not the case in all homes, and i am sure i will be chastised a great deal - but in some cases this needs to be said.

Taking time to stop and think about how your children are being brought up is the responsibility of all parents.  They shouldn't be a menace in the classroom or to society.  If they are, sort them out.

I have made the assumption that pupil behaviour has had an effect on teacher disillusionment, since they made a choice about entering the profession.

On a last note, this country could do much worse than to bring back National Service.

  5. Immigrants, same with all UK jobs.

Not saying it in a derogatory tone, it's just the truth, we are greedy and want better pay and better jobs.
