School picture help?

im really nervous about this upcoming school year,

I don't know why, I think it's because I just got braces on July 11th.

& I'm going to be a sophomore in high school this year.

I have absolutely HATED my 7th, 8th & 9th grades school pictures & I want to change that this year.

Do you have any tips on how to take gorgeous school pictures?

I have brown hair & brown eyes.

I will have silver braces.

* & also should I show my teeth?

because, I hate my teeth & I never would smile with them.

But, I have braces now, they're not straight yet, though.

any tips on what color background? I was thinking purple & wearing an earth tone shirt.

If you can choose your background, I would suggest something darker in the gray or blue tones. That looks nice with any skin tone.

Your hair and makeup (if you wear makeup) should be natural, how you typically wear it day to day. Of course if you always wear a ponytail, I would suggest to consider maybe wearing it all the way down or halfway up.

When choosing clothing, medium to dark tones look pleasing on anyone. Stay away from red's. They tend to make even the skinniest person look heavy. I think black or navy always looks nice. If you want your face to appear long and ovaled, wear something with a neck that comes to a "v". For a rounder appearance to your face, choose a round neck, boat neck or turtlenecked shirt. Lastly. Choose something long sleeved. This is because we want to see your face. If you have flesh of your arm showing at the bottom of the picture, the eye will be distracted and won't first look at your face.

Lastly, your smile. Try to keep a happy thought in your mind so your eyes are smiling with your mouth.  YES, show your teeth and your braces!

you don't need to smile and you don't need to show your teeth...and know for true you are going to be just fine.

earth tone is good on the shirt. and pruple is a marvelous background, my granddaughters would approve.
