i'm debating whether or not to try out for the lead in my school's play (musical) this year. i havn't had much experience acting, (i was an extra in last year's play) but i can sing pretty well. right now i'm taking voice lessons to improve, but i'm not sure if i should try out for the lead role.

  1. Do it if you enjoy it! Theatre is a stressing nightmare if you dont enjoy it. go for it and good luck,

  2. go for it if you don't get the lead you will probably get offered a part in the chorus.theater can be stressful at first but you soon get into the swing of it and its so much fun give it a go to she if you like it then keep at it.it would be an advantage if you had a bit of experience but its not a big deal.I'm not the best dancer bit i still do musicals because i can still act and sing.good luck stick with it!!!!!!!!!!

  3. No offense, but it's school, not Broadway, and designed to be enjoyable.

You'll never know whether or not you can win any part if you don't audition.

  4. go ahead and try it! if you dont at least try, you'd never know how much of a chance you could have had
