  1. Obviously the Star of David =

A drawing of a wrist with tattooed numbers

Here is a list of places represented in the story = use cut out pictures from travel brochures you can get from any travel agency.

How about framing your collage in "barbed wire" = use craft wire and twist pieces to resemble barbed wire.

Photos from the released prisoners - the gaunt faces and skeletal bodies.

A picture of an old box car from a train

Use large letters cut from magazines in different fonts to label the names of the concentration camps -

Mount some of the photos or labels on foam board to give a three D effect =

Use tea stained maps as the back ground of the collage = Germany, Jeruselum, Pallestine etc.

      Objects/Places

    Acre

This is where David ben Moshe is incarcerated in a prison.

    Auschwitz

This is another concentration camp. It is likely that Elisha and his parents were brought here before they are moved to Buchenwald.

    Buchenwald

The concentration camp where Elisha and his parents are incarcerated.

    Gedera

The paratroopers' camp, which Gad's team attacked, is located near Gedera. This is where Dan is killed and David wounded and captured.

    Haifa

This is the port where Elisha lands when he arrives in Palestine.

    The Holy Land

This is where Israel stands today.

    Jerusalem

This is where the story takes place and the capital of modern-day Israel.

    London

London is the capital of Great Britain. Where Captain John Dawson's mother lives. The Colonial.....

I'm sure once you get started collecting the material for your collage it will get easier = my best tip is to make it 3 dimentional by using foam board/ in multiple layers to give it an appealing look.  Possibly a total Black and White would be a shocking display.
