  1. 5 divide 16 multiply times 22 = time it takes to feed 22 puppies

  2. okay so i'm pretty sure this is how it goes.....

    so you divide the time (16 minutes) by the amount of puppies (5) to get the rate that the store owner feeds one puppie..... and then you multiply that rate by how many puppies he needs to feed (22) and that gives you the time that it takes to feed all the puppies (if he is feeding them at a constant rate)

    which turns out to be that he feeds 22 puppies in 70.4 minutes

    and if you need more explaining just let me know kk

  3. Find out how long it takes him to feed EACH puppy. That would be 16 divided by 5. Then multiply that number by 22.

  4. 70.4 Minutes

    16 minutes / 5 puppies = 3.2 minutes per puppy

    3.2 minutes per puppy x 22 puppies = 70.4 minutes

  5. I think it's 67 minutes (1 hour and 7 minutes)

  6. It's a proportion. Put the number of puppies over the amount of time.

    5/16  =   22/x

    Cross multiply:

    352 = 5x

    Divide by 5.

    About 70 minutes (I got 70.4)
