  1. Here is a link that will tell you about the homeschooling regulations in Alabama: http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?St...

You have two choices: you can enroll in (or establish) a church school (umbrella school), or you can have a tutor who has a teaching certification.  If either of your parents have a teaching certification, they can act as your tutor; otherwise, you would need to hire one.

I don't believe K12 has a free charter in Alabama, and I'm not sure about using an online school, as it (most likely) wouldn't be considered a church school.

In Alabama, the compulsory age for school attendance (wherever that may be) is 7-16.  At 16, you are still required to attend.  As you are a minor, any change in your school attendance (switching to an approved form of homeschooling, etc.) would require your parents' permission.

In homeschooling, you can work at your own pace; in Alabama, you would need to do this under the private tutor/teacher certification option.  Yes, you would either need a parent or other tutor to teach you at least 3 hours per day, 140 days per year.

    Hope that helps?

  2. You need to check because it can be different in each state.  Call or write board of education, or check yellow pages for anything pertaining to adult education.  Also, ask your guidance counselor.  He/she should know the answer or at least know where to find the answer.
