  1. footnotes theyare so much eisier and save so much time and they have never faild me before

  2. Read the book. Footnotes don't help you in tests beings teachers don't derive the questions for the test from the footnotes.

Besides, it's not a bad read.

  3. get the book its actually not that bad. theres is a movies as well that is actually almost word for word from the book. Footnotes will not help you with a test im afraid

  4. I read to kill a mockingbird last year for my honors english class we took multiple tests overall and wrote a paper at the end. I think you should definitely get the book because there's always the chance that your test could have questions on details that aren't always included in summaries of stuff. Plus it's surprisingly a good read. But if you're one of those people who doesn't comprehend well while reading then I would get one of those books that has the story on one side and an explanation on the other, if that's what you mean.

but if you actually meant just kind of like reading the summaries on sparknotes or something instead of reading then i wouldn't do that cause it doesn't always work out for tests and papers and such. especially when you have to cite things.

  5. Personally, I'd say read the book, if you want a good grade. If you're happy with a C or D, then go to bookrags.com

They are gggrrrrrreat and got me through two years of American Lit. with an A and a B. The movie is good though..like the person above said.

I think if you do the movie and bookrags, you can skip the reading unless your teacher is super tricky and asks off the wall things.

  6. Get the book, it is the right thing to do./
