Question:

School sleeping problems?

my school starts tommorow and its my first day in high school. I am both nervous and excited. Due to being both nervous and excited, I can't sleep right and stay awake on the bed till midnight. How should i fall asleep when im excited and nervous?

  1. that isn't fun.  Try getting up as early as you can tomorrow so you'll be nice and sleepy.  Don't resort to drugs, they make it worse.


  2. shave your head and go in early.  also, chics dig guys in femidenim and mandannas.  good luck.

  3. think about this:

    if you don't get enough sleep, chances are you will run late or go to school ill-prepared.

    which means that could ruin your day and your fears may come true!

    instead, try to imagine soothing things and go to sleep and have a relaxed and healthy day tomorrow.

    when we're sleepless, we feel tired, our brain isn't as sharp, we feel irritable... in short... it makes for a crabby day...

    ... and you don't want a crabby first day of school!

    p.s. Remember all others will be like you. It's not like the spotlight will be just on you for making the slightest mistake!!

  5. i have the same problem but i think the best thing would 2 make sure your room is dark and nothing 2 distract u

  6. i have the same problem, i just lay there and just think about things and stress myself out. i recommend taking tylenol pm about an hour before you want to go to sleep. it always knocks me out and doesn't have any side effects.

  7. Try over-the-counter sleeping meds, such as tylenol PM or niquil (wouldn't reccomend niquil, the alcohol gave me stomach pains). Those are made to relax your mind and help ya fall asleep. Even if you end up getting next to no sleep you should be fine cause first days you never really do work and think to much. Just try and get some sleep the next night.

  8. I usually just get up. Nothing is worse than rolling around restlessly all night, you can at least do something productive.

    I can kill time extremely well on my computer, so that's what I do.

    Reading a book also puts me under pretty fast, a lot faster than going on the computer does. I always have a book beside my bed for when I'm bored.

    I also usually have a bit of alcohol to dumb me down, but since you're just starting high school, I obviously can't suggest that lol.
