School starts for me tomorrow, im excited to an extent but in a way im nervous. Im going into 10th grade, and after a rather messy 9th grade year, Im deffinately going to try to do better !

Class schedules came out not to long ago, come to find out none of my closest friends are in any of my classes, maybe its a good thing so I could pay attention more, etc. But its gonna make things alittle boring isnt it?

Ohh what a great summer I had and now its coming to a close, dissappointing, but as I said im alittle excited..

But before I go does anyone have anything to say that will boost my spirits and get me more hyped.. I could deffinately use it !

thanks

  1. cool i'm going into grade 10 too!  i am so excited, you get so much more freedom, and if you have to goto a new school too, there are so many more people there that are just like you so dont sweat it.

  2. you should be upset summer is the best part of the year!!!!!!! i no im upset

  3. Each new school year holds a whole new set of wonderful opportunities to start all over, to start fresh but with a quantity of past experience from previous years.  You are now equipped with enough information to know the pitfalls and your particular triggers to a "messy" year...so, you will be prepared in a much better way than last year.  You now know what it takes to make better grades and hopefully, this past experience will help you achieve a better balance between social and academic life this year in the 10th grade.  Also, the 10th grade is GREAT.  You are no longer the youngest underclass man and you do not yet have the pressures of being the highest of upper class grades.  You can relax, focus of your education while taking full advantage of all the extra-curricular activities your school has to offer.  My best advice it to try to find a balance as I mentioned before.  This might be easier within the classroom now because you won't be distracted by friends and such.  Anyway, when you are in class this should be the time to focus on that particular subject.  Be sure to notice which students in each class are serious about their work because you can be at an advantage by becoming friends with them.  You can share their notes, study habits, and academic interests.  As far as your other friends, you can share your social activities with them outside of class... so, it is perfect to help you achieve that balance to have a well-rounded school year.

Good luck and remember, each year in high school is priceless... it is something you can never get back.  So, enjoy it and make the best out of every opportunity.

  4. HIGHSCHOOL IS THE BEST!

  5. good you should fell good realy exsided also happy 10th grade!? wow I never heard of someone likeing 10th grade well you should be happy

  6. i'm in your exact same position. i'm going to tenth and my 9th grade year was not good at all.

i almost never look forward to school, but this year i am so i can try harder, get better grades, and meet new people.

i dont have many friends in my classes either, so i'm just going to meet new people.

its good to have a variety of friends, and you do make a point, it will help with studies more.

    good luck!

  7. just think.....new year, you can start over if you want, get different grades, get different friends, get a different style.

  8. Put your hopes and objectives in a letter to yourself and have someone mail it back to you in one month, to help you stay on target with your school achievements. Don't fall back into old habits. Seek new habits and do a reality check in one month to make sure you're still on track.

Good luck. Have fun. Study hard!

  9. If you had your classes with the same people every year, you won't meet any new people.  You should be glad.

  10. feel excited, you get to meet new people every year, and try your best in class.

  11. well. im not being mean here but, 10th grade is the hardest one! im telling the truth! its like the top of the hill ya know. so much homework. and theres a lot of criteria to cover in the short amount of time. and you many provincials in this year too. before grade 10 i used to get straight A's. in gr.10 i slacked off a lot more than i ever did. with there being so much homework each semester i had one class to just say "aw s***w it." just to not overload. and i obviously didnt get all A's. but i am now going into grade 11. so im past that. theres only 1 provincial in gr.11 too. every one says its way easier. so look forward to next year!

    good luck
