School starts today(August 7th) and it lasts until late May, and that seems very boring to me. How about you?

i live in N.Y. and my school starts September 3rd and ends in late June

mine starts on the 11th, and i completely agree that that schedule is boring because if you have family going to school, when you are out, they will still be in for a month, and when you go back in, they will be out for another month, so it seems you get to see them for a week and a half rather than five or six weeks, it really does suck.

Oh, Swimming!   So how was your second day at school?    I still sort of liked it at your age, but not for long.   Sorry about your adolescence.   Sorry to inform you, you will survive it.

You may not think this now, but your school years will be some of the best years of your life.  ( It's a big bad world out there for the unprepared.)

You have a home that you don't have to personally pay for...no real work to do ( even a part time job is just for freedom to use your own money for things you want, not need)

Sports or clubs to join, plenty of friends to socialise with. Teachers who really do care about how you are doing school-wise.

School work and assignments are really just a small "price to pay" for all this. Fail now and you may find yourself regretting it down the track as you try to juggle night school with a full time job, rent, bills, a family etc etc....so DO make the most of it while you can.... put in some effort and you may even start to enjoy your successes!!  :-)
