School teaching to young....?

Okay at my school.. Well im in 5th grade. And we are going to learn about... well... yah no... How mommy and daddy make babies? YIKES!!! I think we are to young to learn but hey, girls are getting periods and I think we want to know why this happends. And omg I mean we already know "how babies get here" so why are they teaching us it? Do you think we are too young to know?

I think that is the PERFECT age. By teaching it so early you are educating them before they start having s*x, and they never forget it. I think its a great thing to start to early and teach it every year.

you are not too young to learn this. they will explain some things that you don't know, because trust me, you don't know everything. they will go over diseases as well as pregnancy. i say the younger the better, and give them all the icky details so they'll get grossed out and not have s*x for a long time. ALWAYS USE A CONDOM!! IT'S LIFE OR DEATH!

Nope.  I wish you could learn in a more informal setting than in a classroom, but if you're old enough to have babies, you're old enough to know how and why it happens -- and what things don't make it happen (kissing, oral s*x, etc), but do pose other risks (STDs, e.g.).

You may think you have all the answers, but you don't.  And neither do your friends who pretend they do, but don't really and are too embarrassed to admit it..
