Schoolies not in QLD?

hey, were wanting to go to schoolies down the coasst, but we wana stay somewhere heaps nice, like not just camping or whatever, like in a beach resort or something really really nice. any have any suggestions or ideaas?? cheers

Well, if you were wanting to go to the Gold Coast, there is heaps of accom here, but they want huge deposits and you practically have to have booked back when you were in nappies.

That said, i've done volunteering for Schoolies here and the kids have a great time. The govt. puts on heaps for the ten days of schoolies so if you are going to get here late, make sure there is still stuff to do or it can be quite dull. After all, drinking p**s kinda gets old after your fourth or fifth hangover in a row..

The stuff the govt. puts on is stuff like free breakfasts on the beach, free entertainment in the form of live bands, djays, a huge cinema style screen on the beach and midnight movies, loads of assistance from the volunteers who hand out information and this year we were giving out free condoms.. last time I did it we were giving out fake tattoos, um... there is HEAPS of stuff for schoolies! They have the chill out tents where you can go rest and get a free bottle of water or whatever, it is very very safe despite what your parents might or might not think. There is also a free shuttle bus that runs up and down the Surfers Paradise strip at night time from 8pm to 1am or something.

Not to mention all the rest of the stuff the Gold Coast has to offer while you are here on schoolies - shopping at the huge malls, movies, theme parks, beaches, restaurants and cafes, pubs and clubs... etc. etc. etc.

Byron Bay, NSW,  is a bit quieter, but I can imagine the situation with the accommodation is similar.

Coffs Harbour, NSW,  has some really nice places to stay and it is also right on the beach. Coffs is a great place and you would have a bit of a quieter schoolies.

Why don't you go to Byron Bay, stay at one of the resorts right on the beach?  You would have an awesome time there.....

if you want to go to south coastal nsw there is a little down called bawley point, near ulladulla. really nice and its beautiful in summer.
