Question:

Schooling fish problem. Need help?

I have a 10 gallon tank with 4 mollies, 1 dwarf gourami, and 3 cories. I have 2 spotted cories and 1 green cory. My green cory, which is the spallest of the three, stays by himself! I just got the 1 spotted cory and 1 green cory today. The 2 spotted cories stay together all the time, just like a schooling fish, but the green cory stays away from the group. Sure, they'll come swim by or swim around him for a short while, but they'll just leave and he'll go somewhere off. Is this normal? I thought cories will school with any type of cory. Please help!

  1. Corys really are best off with their own kind, they will generally stick to their own and NOT school with other species. Rehome the green and let your spotteds stay together.
