Schools In Adelaide - advice please.?

Question

We are moving to Adelaide in the next year, we are not Australian, and will need schools for our three children aged 8, 6, 3.

Can anyone reccomend good schools in Adelaide for us to look at - perferably smaller schools?

Dare I say it but the schools in Adelaide are OK, Spent most of my life there public is OK some private is vastly overated in adelaide as where you go to school is a significant thing to to social set in Adelaide.I have also sent my children to all three.  My recommendation after trying all three would be  a religious school. Good value and well run. Adelaide has a good variety of these Anglican, Catholic , Lutheran etc.

Just like anywhere in Australia  school funding is difficult and real good teachers are few. Good luck , Adelaide is different and I (  personally)could not live there again but as for hospitals and schools it seems to have the edge on others I have experienced. You could do a lot worse.

Stirling East Primary is a very good public school, but not small.

I think it would help if you specified public (free) vs private, religious (which religion?) or not, single s*x vs co-ed, preferred area etc.  Generally if you are in a nice area all the schools will be nice, whether they are public or private.

I would have to say North Adelaide Primary School (just off O'Connell St) was an excellent school and I loved every minute of it. Quite small in size, posh for a public school and in a great location. Did graduate in 1993 so it may have changed a bit since then :) but def lhave a look!
