A lot of schools and government agency's self insure, i.e. they have a bond to pay for any losses.

There may well be reduced cover, but there will be no such thing as no cover during that time period, just because it is the the school holidays.

All public buildings carry insurance as a matter of course but if you are thinking of having a claim up be careful as they are not so stupid nowadays.

Only the school can answer this one, but normally this type of insurance runs all the time (just in case)
