My kids take their lunches to school and now their school wants to ban certain types of foods. How can they do that? I can understand if they want to restrict some foods that they prepare but foods that are brought from home?

  1. Ask the school why they want to ban these foods./ You can proceed from there if the reason are not in your opinion adequate.

  2. That's c**p. whatever you pack for your child to eat, they should be able to eat. I can understand them putting restrictions on what they serve. Poor kids!

  3. Now that sounds stupid!!!! You should pack whatever you want for your kids to eat. My goodness what next?

  4. Well if spmebody in their school has a very severe allergy they can, however man schools if theres just one kid && a lot of other kids they make them eat in another place. WHJich foods are they thinkng of banning??

  5. Yea, I don't think that schools can tell parents what kinds of foods to prepare for their kids.  If it becomes a serious issue about nutrition the only things the schools can do is monitor the way they prepare their food. They have no control over the kinds of foods kids bring from home.  If the government lets the school ban certain kinds of foods then you could probably bring up a lawsuit to appeal their decision.
