Schutt ion 4d facemask?

I have a Schutt ion 4d helmet and i noticed that you can put one of your chinstrap buckles trough the little slot in the facemask. How do i do that????? The slot seems to small to be able to do it.

You have to take off the white buckles. After you take them off you should be able to just slide in the chin strap and put the buckles back on.
