I love this.

Makes me think it JUST might happen.

If they pull Spies AND Bautista together. I would give Suzuki A Fighting chance to upset a few.

I Know we have had this before. Do you think anything has changed. Can I keep wishing ?

  1. d**n, you beat me to it !!

The problem with working untill 11pm on Thursdays !

I think this is the first step to making Ben Spies entry to the 09 race concrete.

We ( the real race fans ) have been saying this would happen for a while. Im sure with 2 rounds in the US this year, Suzuki will confirm there 09 riders / teams at one of these events.

As for the #34 coming back, I believe Dorna retired the number and not even Kevin could ask for it back.

Might be wrong on that however.

  2. no chance suzuki cant pull it off this year

  3. Hi proc

Its good to be back. I'm in the middle of moving house, and have only recently got my Internet connection back.

I hope Schwantz does get involved. He may be able to raise American cash to enable Ben to race.

If Jorge Martinez is gonna be the man in charge, I don't think Spies will get a look in. He's been quoted as saying that Suzuki are asking too much money for him to race with one of their bikes. So if he does go with Suzuki, it will probably be one machine and a Spanish rider (probably Bautista).

I have a hunch that Bautista will be in a one man team run by Martinez (probably not Suzuki, I bet we end up with another Honda....yawn..), and I really hope that with Kevins history and ties with Suzuki, he can raise the funds needed to race a one or two bike team with Ben Spies as one of their riders.

Of course a lot of this could hinge on Bens performances as a wild card at Laguna and Indy. So I guess the balls kinda in his court. But I'm wishing too! Just have to wait and see.

  4. suzuki will get it they always will

  5. Would love to see Kevin back running a Moto GP team and it would be good for the sport as he was one off my favourite riders and I wonder would we see the number 34 again?
