The Bayern Munich midfielder has admitted that the team deserves silverware at the end of the campaign as they have performed brilliantly
The Bavarian giants have played a sensational first half of the season and are in a brilliant position to win the league at the end of the season. The team is currently leading the standings table with 42 points. Nine points ahead
of the second-placed Bayer Leverkusen.
Schweinsteiger insisted that the players have worked hard after the disappointments from the previous campaign and is hopeful that the side will end the season on a successful note.
The midfielder stressed that all the players should continue improving in the remaining course of the season and warned against complacency. He stated that Bayern have a very good chance this time around and is eager to take the
opportunities coming his way.
“Every man on the team must try and shift up another gear compared to the first half of the season, to work better and with even more focus. If so, we might end up with something this time,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The German international credited the team’s defensive performance in the first half as the reason for success and admitted that there has been a massive improvement from the previous year.
“We defended very well, and that was the decisive factor. It's definitely a change compared to last season, something I particularly notice playing in the centre of the park,” he continued.

their successful run and put further pressure on their rivals.
