The Bayern Munich midfielder is confident of a successful second-half of the season and admits the league title is theirs to lose.
Bayern Munich have been in prime form this season after a disappointing campaign last term which saw them ending trophy less. The Munich giants have shown their dominance not only domestically, but in Europe also and have qualified
for the knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 claimed that Bayern definitely has a better team than current Bundesliga champions, Borussia Dortmund. He insisted that Die Bayern have the quality in their squad to challenge for major honours and the recent
results have proved that. Dortmund recently beat Bayern Munich to sign Monchengladbach striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 which has added fuel to the already intense rivalry.
The German international added that the Bundesliga title is Bayern Munich’s to lose this season. He added that the team is in a dominant position after a successful first six months of the season and are ahead of the likes of Borussia
Dortmund and Schalke as the favourites to lift the league trophy at the end of the season.
“We know that Dortmund have a good team, but I think that Bayern will always have a better quality team. It is always ultimately up to us as to how the title will be decided,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Schweinsteiger stated that the Bavarians are better than any team in the Bundesliga currently as they perform well not only in the domestic competitions but also in Europe. The midfielder was referring to his side’s impressive
performances in the Champions League this season and to the early departure of Borussia Dortmund from Europe’s premier club competition.
“Bayern always have such a competitive team that we not only dominate in the Bundesliga, but also can be successful on the European level,” the midfielder concluded.
The Munich giants are leading the Bundesliga standings table with 37 points from the 17 games played and have a three-point lead over Borussia Dortmund and Schalke. The side will take on Borussia Monchengladbach after returning
from the winter break on Friday, January 20, at the Borussia Park.
