The Bayern Munich midfielder has urged his teammates to beat Olympique Marseille in the return leg at the Allianz Arena.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 has voiced his desire to play in the last-four of the UEFA Champions League. He was talking ahead of his side’s second-leg of the quarter-final against Marseille at the Allianz-Arena on Tuesday, April 3.
The midfielder will not be a part of this game due to his suspension after being booked in the first-leg at the Stade Velodrome last week.
The German reckoned that Les Phoceens will find it extremely difficult to score twice on their visit. He claimed that it is just a formality to play the second-leg as the Reds have two away goals under their belt and one more goal
at home would certainly seal the win.
On the other hand, Marseille midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alou-Diarra-c5259 admits that his side have the slightest of chances to upset the Munich giants. He insisted that Les Phoceens are capable of scoring goals away from home just like they did on
their visit to Signal Iduna Park against Borussia Dortmund in the group stage fixture.
While talking to supersport.com, the 27-year-old further added:
"You could say experience was the difference. We have nothing left to lose. It's not mission impossible. We scored three in Dortmund in the group stage. Bayern drop very few points at home so it will take a big performance, but
we know we have the ability to cause them problems."
Bayern winger, Franck Ribery also commented on his team’s chances in the second-leg. He specified that the Reds are in a decent position to progress further despite having to play another 90 minutes against the Ligue 1 side. He
showed his delight that each individual has been working hard and wishes to lift the European crown in front of the home fans.
"We still have the return at home, although obviously, we're in a good position now. We're keeping it very tight at the moment, we're very disciplined, aggressive, and hard-working. It's going well and we have to keep it up," Ribery
concluded.
The Munich giants could face Real Madrid in the semi-final if they are able to keep OM at bay and the Spanish side keep hold of APOEL Nicosia in the return fixture.  The final of the competition will take place at the Allianz Arena
on May 19.
