Schwinn Varsity 700c for $200 Road Bike or Kent GMC Denali for $125?

Which one is better for me and why? Schwinn Varsity for $200 or Kent GMC Denali for $125. Pros and cons if you can.

I need a regular bike, nothng fancy, professional or heavy use. Just reliable and something that won't give me problems or troubles in the future, without spending too much.

IF I had no other choice other than choose one of the 2, I would get the Schwinn.

The thing is, you do have a choice. First, stay away from bikes sold at Walmart or Target or other discount stores. Next, crack open a newspaper and scan for local yard sales or flea markets. Visit them, and find a deal on a good road bike. You'd be surprised how many not-so-old road bikes that may have originally cost $1000 or more are available in your price range... if you only look.

Should you INSIST on a new bike, get the Schwinn, then before it is ridden take it directly to a bike shop for a tune up. It'll cost you a couple of dollars, but it will increase the life of the bike immensely.

The GMC is a bad choice. While this Schwinn is not very good it is a far better choice then the GMC.
