  1. we sweat to maintain homeostasis. it's a form of excretion dear. deodorants have chemicals that prevents the apocrine glands from sweating in that particular area. ^_^

  2. this topic is very difficult

i ll keep an eye to see the answer

  3. i would include natural deodorants. Like coconut oil, It doesn't prevent sweat though.

  4. First there are two types of sweat glands, eccrine glands and appocrine.  The first is the one usually associated with sweat, and is the most numerous.  The second, though, is the one that creates body odor if not cleaned away.  These are the ones that people are concerned with, found in the arm pits, and other warm/smelly places.  The reason we sweat is usually to regulate temperature through evaporative cooling.  The link should help out.  FYI, i usually use mitchum stick, it has been the most effective for me, and i sweat a lot.  good luck on your project.

  5. people sweat as a result of our bodies thermal balance and feedback mechanism to make aur body cool in hot environment .. this sweat has salt and waste products which when comes in contact with atmosphere starts smelling due to germs...

deoderant have antiseptic effects and depress this activity thus helps us not to smell

  6. Deodorants do not stop sweating, they just cover up the smell. Anti-perspirants are supposed to reduce sweating so make sure you use the right one for you project.

  7. well you would have to find out why ppl sweat. Find out what deoderants do to make ppl not sweat so much.

And then after that you just find yourself at least 3 people as ur testers. Ask them to rate how much they sweat on a daily bases (on a scale from 1-10).  Then get some popular and not so popular brands of deoderant and ask your testers to try them out. Depending on the amount of time you have, ask them to try out each brand for a week (or whtever time frame) and ask them to rate they "sweat level" at the end of each DAY. Average those numbers and you can easily find out which brand is the best.

    Good luck.
