  1. 1. The bee is attracted to a flower for its nectar. While gathering nectar, the bee rubs up agains the anther and pollen adheres to its thorax. The bee then flies to a different flower and rubs against the stigma where the pollen is transferred. The tube cell in the pollen then tunnels down into the ovary. The sperm cell from the pollen grain follows and enters the ovule to fertilize the egg.
