  1. PLEASE DO NOT JUST STEAL THIS AND USE IT AS YOUR ANSWER.

    Ok, now, for something to be negatively charged, it means that it has more electrons (the negatively charged part of atoms) then protons (the positively charged part of atoms).  In order for the handkerchief to give the plastic more electrons, it must lose some (electrons cannot just be created, but they can move around).  If the handkerchief that was neutral, loses electrons, it then has an abundance of protons causing it to be positively charged.  Does that makes sense?

    Please put this in your own words or draw a diagram.  If you need more explanation, please ask.  Also, I make no gurantees with this answer, it has been a long time since I have taken a science class, but this is what I remember.

  3. handkerchief remain neutrally charged. because:

    positive attracts negative;

    negative repels negative;

    positive repels positive;

    (handkerchief doesn't attract stick or repel it, therefore its neutral)

    when you put the perpex slowly towards a running tap the water bends :D
