  1. Mitosis and meiosis are the two types of cell division.  Mitosis enables growth and repair to occur. Meiosis is for the production of s*x cells.


  2. Mitosis produces two exact copies of the original cell. Meiosis is used in sexual reproduction. It produces four cells, each with half of the chromosomes of the original.
