A question on my science lab on relative humidity...

If the wet-bulb and dry-bulb temperatures were the same using the psychrometer, what conclusions can you make about evaporation?

  1. I agree with your first answer.


  2. If the temps are the same then there was no cooling of the wet-bulb thermometer due to evaporation.  Therefore no evaporation ocurred.  (and the air must be saturated or at 100% humidity)
