HOw do I draw a direct realtionship on an axes and ow do I draw and inverse relationship...NO this is not for you guys doing my homework I just don't understand it..

  1. a direct relationship is a straight diagonal line with a positive slope. both relations increase at the same rate. if they grew at a different rate, i think it would be exponential growth which is also direct... for inverse relationship it would be a curved line or straight line that declines with respect to y axis and increase x points on x-axis. good luck!


  2. a direct relationship is modeled by the equation y=kx where k is

    a positive constant.  It's a straight line through the origin with positive slope and as xincreases so does y.  The indirect relationship is modeled by the equation xy=k where k is a positive constant,  This is a hyperbola and as x increases, y decreases which is why it is called indirect.
