  1. Great answer, Eri.  Never heard it put more succinctly.  I hope and trust your work continues to go well.

  2. Faith is believing in something without evidence.  Science is accepting something because of the evidence.  When the evidence says one thing and your belief says the other, you run into a problem.

  3. Science is based on experimentation and evidence.  You come up with a theory, and try to prove it though experimentation.  You may disprove your theory, so need to come up with a new idea.  Over time, a theory gathers more evidence, until it is supported by the community as a whole.  Scientists need to be open to new ideas and new evidence, even if that destroys their theories.

Faith is not based on evidence, it is based on belief. For example: "I believe in my god, but I cannot experimentally prove or disprove his existence".  For many believers, no amount evidence can sway them from this faith, they will refuse the accept any new theory.

  4. ah... the two subjects that have been at war for centuries.

personally i beleive god is fake. (the guy has superpowers, and as long as people tell those don't exist, i think god is fake.)

Im a science buff, actually im a science-fiction buff.
