Science and Line graphs?

Does the indpendent variable go on the horizontal or vertical axis?

Independent variables are always on the x-axis or horizontal axis.  Things such as time are usually placed here, and you can remember that since time is always constantly changing, but doesn't depend on anything else but... well itself, "independent".

i was always taught the x-axis so that would be horizontal
