Science and the Reality of God?

Science cannot prove the existence of God but at the same time, science cannot disprove the existence of God.

It does not need to. The Bible proves quite well that god or Yahweh cannot possibly exist. A deity who created the universe could not be so ignorant about it as the Bible is from Genesis to Revelation. Scientists can study the Bible and prove it is wrong about many facts of science. That makes God an impossibility. What of the Reality of Ahuramazda, Allah, Amon, Asshur and the dozens of other gods men invented? They are as real or as unreal as your God. This a rant, not a question, so you may be reported. Keep your sermons in the Religion category. This is Science, not nonsense!

Surprisingly there are some people who actually think this is a strong argument for God's existence! This is what things like Russell's Celestial Teapot or the Flying Spaghetti Monster endeavor to illustrate: simply because you cannot disprove the existence of something does not make its existence in any way likely.

Please consider the following. I gather from your question that you are a believer in  a god. I will further assume that you believe in a particular God  ( as a Christian or Muslim etc.). Which implies that you don't believe in all of the other gods which you also cannot disprove: Ogden, Thor, Zeus, Pan, Vishnu etc. etc. etc. Again, I don't know your religion I'm just making an assumption. There are conservatively at least ten thousand different gods that have ever been worshiped by some people at some point in history and you are probably an atheist with respect to every one of them except one. The only difference between you and me, therefore, is I take my atheism one god further. Also, to treat one of these gods as somehow more credible than the others is the height of special pleading.

In fact, science cannot comment on the existence or nature of God at all!

Therefore, the concept of God should not enter into scientific discussions or theories. And science should not enter into any discussions about God.

This is one important reason why people who argue that "Evolution = atheism" are fundamentally wrong.

God made it like that to split the believers from the non believers. God made a point to defy all physical scientific laws, like when he reversed death. It's kinda hard to explain, but it's just kinda like that.
