  1. How much time?

If I remember correctly, these take about 2 days:

The shell of an egg is similar to a human tooth.  This leads to a number of experiments:

    1) Take a number of eggs.  Keep one "as is" for the control.  Coat the others in a variety of toothpastes.  Put all the eggs in vinegar.  The vinegar will eat away the egg shells over time - whichever toothpaste is best will help protect the egg.

    2) Put eggs in different solutions: vinegar, water, coke, tea, coffee, sugar water.  See what effect these substances have on teeth: staining, eating away the enamel, etc.

    3) Stain the eggs using a concentrated tea solution.  Try to brush them with different toothpastes or other solutions (baking soda, for example).  Determine which one cleans best.  Warning: this one is slightly more difficult to control for, since you may brush harder on one egg than another.

IMPORTANT: Hard boil the eggs first.  This prevents them from making a mess when you're eating away at the shells.

  2. way your hair looks when you get up

  3. Try improvising!  plant some alfalfa seeds in 3 separate containers, put 1 in normal room light, 1 in a window that gets sun most of the day or outdoors, and 1 in a dark room or closet.  Chart the results.  By the way you can get the seeds cheap at a local garden store then sprout alfalfa on a few layers of damp paper towels placed in large jars laying sideways and covered with a piece of t-shirt or nylon stocking and a rubber band.  Just keep moistening, not saturating every day or 2 as needed.  Here's a bonus, after the experiment, the results are edible and delicious, on salads, sandwiches...etc.  Just rinse, shake dry, let air dry a while then store in a perforated veggie bag or loosely closed paper bag in the 'fridge.  Yum...Enjoy!

    P.S.  this is just 1 idea, yes I did this 1 in school...long ago, but I won't share the results...ot it wouldn't be an experiment...just a demonstration.
