I am doing an experiment with a hand boiler...but i am unsure of the answer to this chem question-why is the glass of the hand boiler so very thin?

  1. I believe the glass is so thin to allow the heat to travel more readily from your hand into the liquid inside.  If it was too thick, it would not allow the heat to transfer through the glass as well as when it is thin.
