  1. One of a kind anythings are getting harder and harder as the years go on. My suggestion will have probably been done but I'll tell you anyway.

Maybe start the comparisons back a hundred years or so. Have it like a fork in the road. How the enviornment would be today if hovercrafts were invented first compared to how it is today and also compare public transport as that also would be dramatically changed. Maybe a what if? scenario. What if cars were never invented how would it be today and go through the progression from around late 1800s.

You could show where the major changes to our enviornment happened and how they could have been avoided. Show the different outcomes and add how you think the path would have gone (since we don't know, you have bit of room to move with this)

Hope it all made sense and it helped you.

  2. I don't quite understand your question, but i can quote you a few facts about hovercraft.

They are intrinsically much noisier than cars and harder to steer.  They also use a whole lot more fuel than cars.  On the plus side, they can travel on any relatively flat surface, so if they were used predominantly there wouldn't need to be any roads as such, just areas cleared of obstacles.  They are also much safer than almost any other kind of motor transport.
