  1. subduction zone Im 100%sure

  2. ...the "ground"  (the Earth... below the "dirt", just a bit lower then the sewer system and the sub-way trains)

  3. The lithosphere is made up the 12 tectonic plates

They move on top of the asthenosphere,

    Which is above the mesosphere.

    So the answer is "asthenosphere"

the subduction zone is where one plate goes under the other.

  4. It's Asthenosphere. The lithosphere, includes the continental & oceanic crust and uppermost ridged mantle. The lithosphere is hard, it deforms via brittle faulting. The  lithosphere slides on the soft Asthenosphere below it.

The Earth gets hotter deeper down, eventually rocks are so hot they deform by plastic deformation (like ultra-gooey tar) instead of faulting. This plastic zone, below the lithosphere, is called the Asthenosphere. The ridged lithosphere slides over the hot plastic Asthenosphere. The Astenosphere is located in the upper mantle, below the lithospheric mantle.

  5. lithosphere!!

    i promise you!!

    good luck xo

  6. possibly the subduction zone.

  7. Lithosphere.

Plate tectonics (from Greek τέκτων, tektōn "builder" or "mason") is a theory of geology that has been developed to explain the observed evidence for large scale motions of the Earth's lithosphere. The theory encompassed and superseded the older theory of continental drift from the first half of the 20th century and the concept of seafloor spreading developed during the 1960s.

  8. Trust me...I have just finished a year long course in earth Science....it's the lithosphere. The lithosphere is partially liquid so the plates are able to move.

  9. the asthenosphere is part liquid so the lithosphere can float on it.

    so the answer is asthenosphere

  10. LITHOSPHERE! i know this answer 4 sure

  11. before accepting any of the above answers, why not try the 'googlesphere' ie Google and find out for yourself.

I guarantee if you do it that way you'll retain the information much longer.

  12. The Lithosphere is the one of the layers under the earths crust.

It isn't Mesosphere, that is part of the atmosphere.

    Asthenosphere is under the Lithosphere.

Subduction zone is the part where two tectonic plates come together and one goes under the other plate.

I think the answer to your answer, if you typed it down right, is the Lithosphere.

  13. lithosphere!!

  14. mesophere

  15. subduction zone

  16. asthenosphere...100%

  17. lithosphere

  18. lithsophere
