1) a plant needs an open sunny side for healthy growth. it needs soil that must ne fertile and able to retain hte moisture but the soil.

IN WHICH SOIL DOES THE PLANT GROW WELL? WHY?

2)why is sandy soil dry and clayey soil wet?

  1. 1. Plant grows well in soil having a proper proportion of sandy and clayey soil along with organic matter.

    2. Sandy soil particles are very large and hence porous.hence it drains out all the water and remains dry.

    clayey soil on the other hand is made up of very fine small particles that stay together hence increasing the water holding capacity and keeping the soil wet.


  2. Loam is the best soil for some plant growth. It depends on the type of plant. Sandy soils drain well, thus it does not hold water well. Clay soils do not drain well.
