Question

1)If a person stands in white light (neutral) wearing a blue jersey, what color will the jersey appear to be?

2) If a person stands in red light wearing a blue jersey, what color will the jersey appear to be?

3) If a person stands in yellow light and wears a red jersey and blue jeans, how will they look to the people looking at them?

blue black black

2) black (no colour)

3) black again.

because blue is a primary colour of light it only reflects blue light. if the Jersey was yellow it would reflect red and green light as well as yellow as the addition of these two primary colours (red and green) gives yellow light.

remember that primary colours of light are different to artistic primary colours
