could i please get some help with this question?

"chloroplasts contain chemicals that make plant leaves green. what does this suggest to you about the funtions of grass blades and their roots?"

  1. Leaves are green so they can absorb light to conduct photosynthesis.  Roots are unpigmented so cannot absorb light.  It should come as no surprise that roots therefore do not conduct photosynthesis.
