  1. Well I'm not to knowledgeable in science, but I'll try to answer the things I am aware of. Sounds like you need to get in touch with Pacific Lumber Company, Weirhouser Company,Eel River Lumber Company. They can answer ,and are even responsible for some of these things. Q1) The clearing of lumber (trees) throughout widespread areas are the main cause of soil erosion, mud slides, soil deterioration, and loss of native animal habitats.Widespread clearing may cause a rise in air temperature, low humidity, and an increase in the levels of smog, and a decrease in oxygen. Widespread clearing is also ugly to look at, and can  causes a persons demeanor to change from pleasant to angry, cause road rage, and an all around hate for the pacific logging company for doing it in the first place. Q2) There won't be any trees left to contain the moisture created from the forest enviroment.Q3) I do not know Q4) Flori carbons (?) from areosol cans, carbon monoxide Q5) Burning trash, wood. Driving gasoline powered vehicals, Opperating  factories in a non enviromental freindly manner, Mining and buring coal for home heating, losing vital forestry land to construction and developement Q7) Copper will physically weather to a green patina in time. It can also be made to appear  physically weathered sooner  with the use of chemical weathering. Q8) Trees breath in carbon monoxide, and breath out oxygen. I hope my little answers help in some way, I sometimes have trouble trying to think of the right words that express what I am trying to say. I mean well. Byee

  2. Tried my best to come up with some answers for you.

The oneswith [ * ] in front are ddefiniteanswers.

Q1). - In periods of drought, the water and condensation from trees will not be put back out into the air. This will cause produce to dry out during the "osmosis" process, when they are trying to balance the difference of moisture inside and outside the object. When produce is spoiled this leads to a lack of food for animals and humans alike.

           - Without trees in the area, land is more susceptible to flooding. The moisture ccontinuously recycled and moved during the Water Cycle, will make more trips from the soil to the air and from the air to the soil. Thus leading to heavy rainfall and flooding, spoiling produce along the way, and possibly causing property damage.

           - Smog levels will increase without tree to filter air, making breathing possibly hazardous and unhealthy.

Q2). Without proper capping of CO2 production, more heat is going to be trapped in the atmosphere in turn warming the icecaps and raising waters levels.

Q3). * Acidic soil will have an average PH range of 4-6.

Q4). * Gases that contribute to acid rain include:

                - Sulphur Dioxide

                - Nitrogen Oxides

                - Carbon Dioxide

Q5). * Human activites that contribute to acid rain include:

                - The buring of fossil fuels [coal, oil, & natural gas]

                - Exhaust from cars

                - & of coarse Power Plant's waste

Q6).  This one was worded quite awkwardly, but Fungi - was the most popular answer.

Q7). * Physical and Chemical Weathering go hand in hand. Cracks and damage cause by physical weathering give chemical weathering more surface area to help in the desintegration process. Physical forms of weathering are very destructive and break down rocks and soil by atomspheric conditions such as heat, water, ice, and pressure. Chemical weathering is just as destructive, but caused the dirrect effect of atmospheric chemicals and the breaking down of rock and soil. Weathering is caused without movement and is not considered erosion.

Q8). * Planting trees can offeset carbon pollution because trees filter polluted air. The trees turn the carbon in sugars and then use the sugar to realease oxygen/filtered air.

Sorry if the answers were long, but it was the only way of best explaining.

  3. i will answer what i know

Q1) I assume you mean clearing of forests? It makes the environment more prone to flooding.

Q2) Because human population is in exponential growth. As the number of people increases, so will the amount of pollution.

Q7) physical: thawing of rocks like when water seeps into the cracks of rocks and at night expands and over time can break down the rocks

chemical: im dont remember a sepcific example sorry

    Q8)

plants take in carbon and give out oxygen
