Gerbils.  Everyone loves cute furry things and gerbils are completely irrelevant as far as anything contentious goes, so nobody will argue much with anything you say.  

So start with a thesis question like:  "Gerbils:  Nature's cutest rodent?" and you'll be golden.

well I don't know how old your are so i'll say the role of prions in neural degeneration.. wait thats what i'm doing. How about the effects of gas on fire? thats always a good one. Maybe the effects of energy drinks?
