Science requirements for an engineering school

I'd like to get into the engineering school at UT-Austin. Right now im a junior and have taken biology, chemistry, and am currently taking ap bio. Next year, i will be taking physics. For math, ive taken alg I, Geometry, and am currently taking Alg II. For my senior year i will be taking pre-cal.

To make my application more competitive, ive also taken AP english literature this year.

My question is: are the courses im taking alright for applying to an engineering school or would it be better if i took physics now and the ap physics next year? If i take physics now, ill have to drop my ap eng lit class because of the schedule. I really dont know what to do. Please advise me on whether i should change, or just continue with these classes?

  1. That you are taking honors and AP classes is all you need. It doesn't matter if you are taking every math and science class offered at HS. You just need to be able to get into the college you want to attend. Then you will take the classes needed for your major.

Physics in HS is going to be very different from the physics you are going to take in college.

go to the college's web site and check out requirements for application.
