I have a TI-30XIIB calculator, a scientific calculator, and when I divide on it, it gives me a decimal number. I NEED it to give me an answer that shoes the remainder, not the decimal. PLEASE help me figure out how to get the answer with the remainder, and help quick!

  1. I don't think calculators give remainders when dividing, you might have to do old fashioned long division.

I could be wrong, but in all my years as a student, I've never encountered one.

  2. I'm not too sure about your calculator but on a few calculators there is this button with an opposite L and when you press the button when you get the answer in decimal form it will change it into the fractional form.

    Hope this helps.
