  1. Usually they use a machine that records movement on the Earth. When the movement increases they say there will be an earthquake.

  2. Siezmograph and Richter scale are how scientists see how strong the earthquake is. How they predict when is they determine where faults are and how much they need to move in order to release the strain that accumulates because of plate tectonic motions. Different faults release the energy in different ways, so scientists study past earthquakes on each fault to predict the size of possible earthquakes that could occur in the future. They then use information about how long it's been since the last earthquake to estimate the probability that an earthquake will occur in the next few years.

  3. im not sure, but i don't think scientists can predict earthquakes.

  4. not sure i tyhink its a siezmic (something)meter

  5. they use Richter scale it's machine bywhich  they can predict and measure earth quakes it was invented by charles richter in 1935

  6. The USGS has a great podcast that answers this very question:

    Can We Predict Earthquakes?

  7. quake o meters yo.

  8. Seismologists attempt to predict with a machine, I believe. Called a seismograph.

They can sense the waves that traverse through the layers of rock.

It is not flawless, and most seismologists don't think that there is a flawless method currently, but seismologists can attempt to predict generally.
