However, it may not be what you are looking for. If it isn't then sorry. :/

  2. Research nuclear weaponry and you'll have your answer.

  3. How about the guy who invented lobotomies, Walter Freeman? He went wayyyyy far away from the science of it, doing them by sticking an icepick up his patients' noses and twirling it around.

    Start your research here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Free...

  4. Thomas Edison. He electocuted more than a few dogs to prove that his direct current power transmission system was safer than the AC we use today. It wasn't, but he still paid local boys cash to round up stray dogs for his public relations experiments. Actually, DC is real dangerous; I was fixing an amp today, and if I accidently touched a DC-laden power filter capacitor, I could have died.

  5. Look up cloning. Many people thing that is too far.

  6. well you can research ppl who were so devoted to science they ended up killing themselves, such as madame curie, who won a noble peace prize in pyshics, but ended up dying of self imposed radiation poisoning.

or there's jack kevorkian who wasn't a  really scientist, but went little crazy with his doctoring. find out what exactly the research has to be about, cause there are plenty of ppl obsessed with science out there and in history. good luck with your report!
