Scientists, is there any scientific truth to 'Indigo Children'?

Is there any evidence or at least theories based on observations that suggest the possibility of such people.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not buying the whole psy powers and indigo aura c**p. Indigo is more of a label, rather then truth.

But I am interested is knowing more about this. Thanks.

  1. It's a spiritual concept, not a scientific concept. I don't believe science will ever prove a spiritual concept that people only perceive if they choose to believe it, but that doesn't necessarily make it not true. Personally I believe in psychic powers because sometimes I dream about things before they happen. I believe in science too, but they are mainly limited to explaining physical phenomena. They really don't understand our minds very well.

  2. I've never heard about this until now, so I looked it up.  I'm gonna have to go with no.

First, it kind of hinges on a belief in auras, which is bunk to begin with.

Second, they're calling them the 'next wave of human evolution' which demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of evolution, significant evolutionary changes do not occur from one generation to the next.

Sounds to me like something they just made up, then attached some scientific-sounding words to it to make it seem more credible.

  3. Studies have been performed, and apparently there is one difference between "Indigo Children" and other children: more of the Indigo Children have disorders like ADHD, autism, OCD, etc.

Apparently the parents prefer the term "Indigo" to "disorder".
