Current activates all gadgets. Scientists believe in the existence of current. The motion of planets can not be explained by any known theory. What reasons scientists attribute for the phenomenal universe. How gravity, radiation and magnetism existed even before the invention of scientists? What is the power behind this unseen powers?

  1. "god" is a human concept that has no measurable form except in the minds of those that believe it.

Science looks to measure phenomenon, create theories which try to explain things and tests to measure and validate their theories. Devise experiements and machines to test and measure, see "Scientific method "

Simply putting things down to the word or concept of god seems to be a lazy or ignorant practice of the dark ages where everything unexplained was simply gods work.

  2. God and religion exist ONLY if you want it to exist.  If you want the "believe" God drives the universe, fine.  But when it comes to knowing the facts and figuring out all life's problems you will turn to science, not religion.  Science is not a philosophy or religion, you either accept it or deny it.  So deny it and find yourself a cave to live in.  And by all means take your Bible with you.

  3. Well that's interesting.

But let me tell ya that science is a man made illusion which an prove only one side of life (Imagine, life is like a coin having 2 sides).

But what about 2nd part i.e. from where our soul is created, from where the life came, why we get results according to our deeds, what happens to our soul after death, who decide all these....so on.

There are many questions to be answered yet. This is the 2nd part of life.Science is also unable to prove it.

Thus, there is a power who guide us, who decides the results of deeds, who control each and every guy and that is beyond the reach of science, called God.

You cannot force any one to believe in powers because God is nothing to be proved, it is something to be experienced.

If we want to experience the god and want to know beyond the earthy matters then we will need a spiritual guide i.e Guru.

Yes, a guru who teaches us how god is helping us and how much power we have. You will be surprised to know that each and every people have enormous amount of powers that he or she can recreate a new universe, but the power is sleeping, it is needed to be awaken and at last you will be direct dailed to god ( We call it "Mooksha" in hindi, it means being free frm cycle of birth and death and being mixed into god.)

if u want to know more you can visit: http://www.issyoga.org/ataglance.htm

They are my spiritual guides and we are feeling the existence of god, they r always with us to help, to care and to hold us in our diffculties. that's y i believe that god is to be experienced.

  4. thats an irony of course

but a few days back i saw a movie on bhakta Prahlada .. somebody asked Saint Narada -- "if Shri Hari resides everywhere and he is friend and well wisher of all why do the asura's consider him thier enemy"

He replied- " there can be none as sweet and dear as Shri Hari but the karmas of the asura's are such that they believe Shri Hari to be

    thier enemy"

I quiet agree with this wise perspective and it seems very true to me

so lets leave the atheists to thier views ; maybe when thier time arrives they will change

as far as belief is concerned its about the heart and the inner voice and not about logic etc so no point arguing -- mind always argues and creates obstacles-- it decieves - this is the first milestone to be crossed in each spiritual journey even those of believers than what to say of atheists who any way have greater faith upon thier own intellect rather than nature or almighty

  5. science doesn't address the question of god, just how things work.  if there is a god, and many scientists do believe in god, then the way things work are the rules he made up for the universe.

Why do I believe in current? because I can use it repeatedly to do the same things, over and over.  even if I misunderstand what is really happening, it is still something myconcepts allow me to control and manipulate.

Nothing about god is testable and repeatable, except the lack of evident response to many trials.

Doesn't mean god doesn't exist, just means that there is no way to test and use the information.  It is useless from a scientific standpoint.

  6. If you touch the current you will feel shock. But if you touch the god you will not feel anything.

  7. Try to learn just a little about science and engineering. The you would not make such stupid statements.

All the phenomena you cite can be measured. Except god.

  8. I dont have the perfect answer to this question or may be no one has. You can never stop a human brain from believing in what it wants. Scientist belive in science and power of atoms. Me being a scientist too believe in power of energy. I believe in all the theories given by Eistein, Newton and Aristrotle. I believe there is no Godly power behind creation of this world. But another person believe in God and gives this creation his work of art.

No one knows who created this world or how it works. Everyone has its own theory and everyone follow their own theory.

Regrading your question, scientist dont believe in god because they do not have any proof of existance of god so far. They believe in what they see !!

  9. The existence of current explains things, things that can actually be observed. It explains how light bulbs and computers work.

However, god has no explanatory power at all. If someone said, "how do computers work" and they said "god created the world such that computer work", do they understand *anything* about computers? Nope.

Your argument smacks of "I don't understand X, therefore god did it". Fine, but you still don't understand how god did X, or why god did X and not Y. In fact, you still don't understand X at all. You just have a nice-sounding answer when someone asks you.

And historically,  this is how religion has interfered with science. "Don't investigate cures for Polio, if god wants you to have Polio, then you should." Well, fortunately some scientists didn't listen to that kind of nonsense.

You also misunderstand what it means for someone to have a scientific belief. That belief is always attached to evidence and argument. Scientists believe that electrons flow through wires because that belief has powerful explanatory and *predictive* value. Understanding current can let you calculate how much power it will take to run a light bulb. Believing god made light gets you *nowhere*.

Your position is really very, very far from anything even remotely resembling one that shows any understanding of science, and there's not much I can do to fix that here. Sadly, our public education system in the United States tends to teach science as an assortment of unrelated facts, and as a result, our kids don't "get" science. I hope my explanation helps you to "get" science.
