Question:

Scion Tc or Mazda 3?

I don't really know which one to get. I like the scion but have heard bad things about it such as poor handling, increased roll factor (since the steel frame supports the semi un-openable and un-openable moon-roof(s), and running at higher rpm then most cars while on the highway causing more fuel usage. And people have complained about the speed, but I don't plan on getting a ticket so that's not a issue.

I haven't heard anything bad about the Mazda 3 and I do think it is a great car. However, my best friend already has a Mazda 3 and I know that shouldn't be a issue. Except for the fact that we already did have the same car. And the last time he had the car first also so if I got this one too then it would be a bit g*y. Plus he is an *** who will bring up all the time about how I copy him and wish I was as cool as he is or something along those lines.

So which car should I get? The Mazda would be cheaper in isurance and it would cost less to buy also. But I really do like the Scion, but not sure if its worth the risk though. If you own one of these cars can you give me some pros and cons for each.

Thanks.

  1. id go 4 TC. it looks better and its a chick magnet

  2. Both have the exact same 0-60mph time of 7.4 seconds if they are both manual transmissions and if the Mazda 3 is using the 2.3L engine offered.

    Both are reliable.

But the Mazda 3 is the best handling compact FWD car. It does handle much better and is more fun to drive then the Scion tC.

The Scion tC is owned by many younger drivers and the insurance is much more expensive. It is also 1mpg worse on gas and less practical.

The Mazda 3 is a better choice.

Maybe you can get a Mazda 6 with the same engine, but it will not be as fast because it is a bogger, heavier car.
