Scion XD, XB, or Honda FIT?

Question

Which one is better for a main, fuel-efficient car?

We already have a Toyota camry, but now we want something that's better for our family of 5 and Dad's Home Depot cargo trips...

SUV's are too gassy, so we're looking into a bigger sedan-type...

FIT: starts at $13K, 28mpg city/ 34 highway, 5 seater

XD: @ $14K, 27/33mpg, 5 seater

XB: @ $15K, 22/28mpg, 5 seater

I think they are all good cars, it really depends on what exactly is important to you.

Since Scion is made by Toyota, all are about equal as far as reliability goes.

I think the main difference is in personal preference for body style. I love the look of the xD, but I tend to like kind of ugly things...

As far as piling a lot of stuff in the car, the xB may be your best bet. But there, you will compromise on gas mileage because it is a slightly bigger car.

Honda fit

It's just as nice, but it gets the best gas mileage with the lowest price.

I think you should go with the xb. my brother had a honda fit and yes they seat 5 but they wouldn't be good for frequent trips to home depot. the xb has more leg room and if you put the seats down in the back you can fit more in there than you would be able to in a fit. i dont know if the seats in an xd go down

the Honda Fit is the best of these but the price is closer to $14 to $15,785.

the Scion xB is new and imprioved and much better car than the

xD.

I have read some scion owners having problems with windshield cracks. I've not heard if this is design problem or a consequence of it's upright facing windshield. seach for scion windshield cracks and see what you find.

I'd buy the Honda Fit

avoid the Toyota Yaris & the xD

the xB is bigger but the price is higher also

look at the Kia Rondo

go with the honda fit its really fun to drive and its pretty big inside

obviously get the honda fit--but it isn't particularly cheap at nearly $20,000 for a small car like that
