Scion xd vs xb. Which one would you buy?

Question

I'm interested in buying a new scion, but i'm torn between the two. Does anybody have anything to say about either car?

Get the Xb

It has more power and more room.

I chose the xD cause I like it better and it has a lot of room and head room compared to other cars in it's class. Also it gets better gas mileage than the xB. I average around 30mpg city and hwy. You really can't compare the old xA to the new xD. It's a much better car now.

Althought the tC blows them both out of the water i would say the xD. The xB would be good for like a mom or something, cause its boarderline looking like a van. Whereas the xD is very stylish, cheaper, and better MPG. My father bought his xD the same time i bought my tC and we both love them.

Some people were talking about the xB being faster.....dont listen to them. Its BARELY faster, hardly noticable. And not worth the extra cash.

I assume your talking about new Scion's b/c the xD is a new redesign of the old xA

Go with the xB. It is very quiet inside and now has a 2.4L engine instead of 1.8L which helps out a lot since the old engine wasn't very strong and the redesign for the xB had it gain 700lbs.  It also is very roomy inpart due to its boxy shape with good cargo room and steering is responsive.  It only gets 23 mpg though for being a such a small suv.  For safety it has standard side curtain airbags and electronic stability control.

The xA has a ride that is bumpy and wind noise and the engine straining noise are pronounced. It also is cramped inside.But some good things are standard ipod dock with 160watt stereo and standard anti-lock bracks and esc.

In the end the xB is better and more practical and livable.

both cars are really cool, and they both look really good. i think the main thing that you have to think about is you. i just got an 09 xb, and i love it. The reason i got that car was because im a big guy, im right about 6'5 and i need the leg room and space, plus i think that it looks cool and i like the fact that its still got some of the original squareness, but instead of a whole cube it has curves too. the xd also looks really cool, the only difference really is the size of the cars, and the engine of course. I have driven an 06 xb and my 09, and the engine in the 08 and 09 is the same as the tc. that means more vroom vroom. the xd is still at a 1.8liter, where the xb is 2.4. that means that your sacrificing power, but your gas mileage might be a little bit better. basiclly the main thing you have to consider is what you need in your car. what size do you need, what size engine do you want, all that jazz.

XB has Camry engine and much more power and Hp while XD is smaller and less power  for just a little less money.
